Comparing Dupont Delrin and Acetal Copolymer in Round rods or sheets and plate

Homopolymer Acetal or Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It is very easy to turn, although it requires reduced speeds. I’ve used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have purchased numerous items from iPlastic. Small pieces always ship promptly and everything was well packed. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are quite durable and easily machinable, and they have very comparable physical properties. They look the same, but for practical uses there are a few differences that can make one preferable than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
